I love how on Valentine’s Day you get to dress up a little sweeter, go eat at a fancy restaurant that you can’t afford to go every month and of course the best thing about it is that it’s one day in a year where you can eat all the chocolates you want without feeling so much guilt!
Everything here seems to be going on a crazy sale. The other day I found this beaded top from New Look with such a bargain. I knew I had to get it for this day.
This was my second time dining at Prime in Millennium Hilton on Charoennakorn Road, which has amazing river view from the window seats. We had a choice between Valentine’s course set menu, which was sort of overrated, and à la carte menu which we went for instead.
Baby spinach salad, french onion soup, mushroom soup for appetiser and came the main course – chilean snow fish with white wine and cream sauce and filet mignon with creamy mushroom sauce with baked potato as a side dish.
Last but not least, chocolate soufflé that melts in your mouth.
At the end of the meal they gave us a rose and a box of chocolates as a gift – what a pleasant surprise.
The food tasted great as usual, loved the ambience and the romantic view but was slightly disappointed by their service last night. Maybe because it was a busy day for them but having to ask for the water to be refilled on several occasions, should not have to be done, especially in a restaurant with such reputation.
But it was overall a very pleasant dining experience. Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine’s Day!
